Public Relations Director
Angela Betancourt is a global communications specialist with over 12 years of experience developing, managing, and executing comprehensive, multicultural, and integrated communication and marketing strategies within the U.S. and international markets. With her deep understanding of media relations, Angela has placed her clients in hundreds of local, national, and international publications. From 2015 to 2017, Angela lived in Sierra Leone, where she worked as the communications manager for Sierra Leone Opportunities for Business Action (SOBA), a post-Ebola private sector development program funded by UK Aid. With SOBA, she successfully led the communications strategy for the SOBA program as well as the Sierra Leone Energy Revolution, the country’s first-ever renewable energy conference.
Angela holds a Masters Degree in Global Strategic Communications from Georgetown University and a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Barry University. She is a 2018 Georgetown University-Santander Bank Partnership on Social Economy Summer Fellow. Angela is also an avid scuba diver on track to earn a Master Diver certification. She joined Seaworthy Collective’s team excited to help inspire & empower the next generation of sea change makers.
