Dr. Katherine Skinner

Katherine (Katie) Skinner is a researcher in underwater robotics. Her work focuses on advancing sensing and perception for autonomous underwater vehicles. Through her research, she has conducted field work around the world, including in Australia, Hawaii, Bermuda, and Jamaica. Katie is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. from the Robotics Institute at the University of Michigan, where she was a member of the Deep Robot Optical Perception Laboratory.
