Dr. Laura Canevari
CEO and Co-Founder of ITACA
Laura has over ten years combined research and consulting experience working on climate change adaptation issues globally. She is the CEO and Founder of ITACA, a technical assistance service provider based in Panama and committed to Innovation, Training and Adaptation in Coastal Areas. ITACA aims to accelerate climate adaptation and resilience financing in the Caribbean through education & training, project development & finance, and helping to scale up partnerships for climate resilience across the Region.
She is a solutions-oriented thinker and has a passion for helping others navigating complex climate adaptation challenges. She is also a public speaker (in English, Spanish and Italian) and has been invited to present at numerous climate-related conferences worldwide.
Laura holds a PhD in Geography from King´s College London, an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Marine Science (major in Coastal Management) from Queensland University.
