About the event

Ahead of launching our next cohort, we're bringing together two incredible experts to talk about some of the most critical challenges and assets for entrepreneurship; mental health and wellbeing. For Seaworthy, our approach to supporting startups is as much as personal development and support as it is developing ideas and solutions. When we're pursuing our passions for saving our ocean and planet, it's common for us to care more about the pursuit than caring for ourselves. Join us for a conversation where we break down stigmas, discuss best practices, and explore the human experience of entrepreneurship.

Known as the Innovation Psychologist and often compared to Dr. Wendy from the Showtime series Billions, Dr. Jessica is disrupting the field of psychology with creative interventions to address challenges in the startup and tech ecosystem throughout South Florida. She promotes “mental health as mental wealth,” incorporates the gamification of mental health into the rapidly growing tech sectors, and assists with upleveling work and personal life holistically. Dr. Jessica has provided thousands of consultations, therapy sessions, and workshops to clients and teams, including startup founders and entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, and YPO members. She has been interviewed for a documentary for her integrative approach to mind-body wellness, taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, presented at conferences both locally and nationally, participated in expert panels and on podcasts, served as managing editor of The Journal of Individual Psychology, co-created the Stress & Biofeedback Clinic at Emory University, and facilitated workshops for companies with as many as 10,000 employees. Ashlynn Whalley

Emotional Wellness Advocate, Educator, and Guide

Ash is a writer and coach focused on the ways our emotional experiences impact every aspect of our lives. A mental health crisis while working for tech startups inspired big changes: she read every book, did every course, and tried every dietary change – but it wasn’t until she started just listening to herself that the real change happened.

Her work helps individuals develop their own emotional wellness by understanding their emotional experiences and bringing awareness to how they cope with stress – and with that insight, build the life, career, and relationships that they really need to thrive.

Ash is currently completing a graduate degree in emotional wellness and its connection to broader social inequalities – you can find more information on her 1-1 programs and free resources at ashlynnwhalley.com
