The Continuum Ocean Enterprise Studio & Incubator
Co-Create the Future of Ocean Innovation
The Continuum Ocean Enterprise Studio and Incubator supports US-based startups developing ocean data technologies and services, in alignment with the priorities of the NOAA Ocean Enterprise Initiative. This is a result of Seaworthy’s expanded role in its $14 million NOAA partnership, The Continuum, a coordinated network of ocean enterprise accelerators that fast-tracks startups getting to market by making support for BlueTech solutions more scalable, efficient, and interconnected.
This 3-month program activates our community to contribute to and grow scalable companies and impact. The Studio and Incubator program is intentionally designed around Seaworthy founders via our unique approach; embracing human-centered design, we place the needs, experiences, and aspirations of entrepreneurs at the core. Through empathy, understanding, and experience, we individually tailor our support for each founder to address their unique challenges. In this way, we help support and develop founders as people, as much as their solutions.
We build cohorts of two types of participants:
-
Current founders growing their existing early-stage startups
-
Aspiring founders co-creating a new startup with Seaworthy.
We aim to support 5 to 7 existing early-stage startups and co-create 1 new startup for each cohort. NOAA supported scholarships (a $25,000 value) enable NO COST or equity requirements for each participant.
The Continuum Ocean Enterprise Studio Prep Program
**Applications now open**
The Continuum Ocean Enterprise Studio Prep Program is Seaworthy Collective’s newest program intentionally designed for anyone curious about getting involved in ocean innovation, but haven’t taken the leap yet. We’re looking for potential future entrepreneurs, also known as aspiring founders, who are looking to gain an understanding of the ocean economy, explore their potential for entrepreneurship, and discover how they can turn ocean data into ideas that could become a real startup.
This transformative 2-month program exclusively supports Florida-based college students and working professionals providing foundational knowledge of ocean innovation and entrepreneurship, in alignment with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)’s Ocean Enterprise Initiative. Participants experiment with multiple concepts for potential Ocean Enterprise solutions, and complete the program by formalizing one of their ideas into a “mini” pitch, AKA Minimum Viable Pitch (MVPitch).
Embracing human-centered design, the Studio Prep Program places the needs, growth, and aspirations of budding entrepreneurs at its core. Building with fellow community members in weekly group sessions are a core part of our work together; enabling aspiring founders to collaborate, brainstorm, and support one another. Through empathy, understanding, and structured mentorship, Seaworthy provides support to help participants grow both their concepts as well as themselves as people.
Seaworthy aims to support 10 to 15 aspiring founders for each cohort. All graduates earn the chance to showcase their preliminary concepts at Ocean Exchange in Fort Lauderdale in October. Top graduates may earn a direct pathway to bring their ideas to life, getting to co-create their startup in The Continuum Ocean Enterprise Studio & Incubator.

The Shoreline
Seaworthy Collective's new community & network platform, The Shoreline, leverages ecosystem mapping, regenerative frameworks, and AI, to enable more entrepreneurs to access support. Our platform provides automations for matchmaking network connections, tailored industry insights, and relevant resources and curricula, while still delivering 1 on 1 support (by humans) on a less intensive basis. Ultimately, The Shoreline will scale up access to our ecosystem so that no worthy entrepreneur is left without the support they need to keep going – after all, our blue planet is counting on them!
